Millennium Campaign for the CURE

The Endometriosis Association is embarking on a research mission - Millennium Campaign for the Cure - that will improve the lives of and give hope to millions of women and girls suffering from the often debilitating disease—endometriosis.

Endometriosis affects an estimated 5.5 million women and girls in North America and millions more worldwide.  There is no cure yet for this potentially life-altering disease.

• Millennium Campaign for the Cure is a five-year, $5 million effort.
• 77% of the money raised will be used to fund dynamic medical research at the  prestigious Vanderbilt University School of Medicine and Dartmouth Medical School, as well as fund independent researchers under the direction of an international scientific advisory board and the Endometriosis Association.
• The remaining 23% of the Millennium Campaign for the Cure money will be used to enhance the Association's important educational and support programs.
• The first $1 million raised was matched by a $2 million contribution from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine for endometriosis research in their facility.

It is our ultimate goal to cure endometriosis so that families will no longer need to endure the emotional heartache and physical pain that endometriosis can cause.  Endometriosis is also a leading cause of infertility in women.

Because of breakthrough research by the Endometriosis Association and dedicated doctors and researchers from all over the world, we are beginning to understand the causes of this disease.  However, if we hope to find a cure and continue reaching out to the millions suffering from this disease, a major fundraising effort is needed now.

Midwest Express Miracle Miles...We are pleased to announce that the Endometriosis Association has been granted a Miracle Miles Account through Midwest Express Airlines.  On behalf of EA members with financial difficulties, headquarters may apply for free travel arrangements for endo-related medical care and surgery.  Any individual who currently participates in the Midwest Express Frequent Flyer Program may donate miles to this cause.  Donations of 15,000 miles or more may be directly allocated to the Association’s account.  For more information on the Miracle Miles program or to apply for travel benefits, please contact headquarters.
