in each category received $1,000 and an award certificate. This
year's competition was truly international, and there were entries
from four countries; the U.S., Canada, Russia, and Israel.
The Endometriosis Association Media Excellence Awards were established
to encourage factual, up-to-date and clear media stories about
endo. It is our hope that by encouraging journalists to cover
endometriosis, we will increase awareness, help women with the
disease receive early diagnosis and treatment, and ultimately
find a cure (and then publicize it!) This year's competition was
made possible by an unrestricted educational grant from TAP Pharmaceutical
Products.
